Ingredients
  

  • Cucumbers = 6–8 small fresh and firm
  • White Sugar = 1 1/2 cups
  • White Vinegar = 01 cup
  • Salt = 01 tablespoon
  • Mustard Seeds = 1/2 teaspoon Optional
  • Celery Seeds = 1/2 teaspoon Optional
  • A Pinch of turmeric for color

Step 01: Wash Cucumbers

  • Rinse thoroughly to remove dirt or wax.

Step 02: Slice Evenly

  • Cut cucumbers into thin, uniform rounds.

Step 03: Add to Bowl

  • Place slices into a large mixing bowl.

Step 04: Prep Brine

  • Add vinegar, sugar, salt, and spices to a saucepan.

Step 05: Heat Brine

  • Warm on low until sugar dissolves—don’t boil.

Step 06: Pour Brine

  • Pour the warm brine over the cucumber slices.

Step 07: Mix Gently

  • Stir to ensure all slices are coated.

Step 08: Let Cool

  • Rest for 30 minutes to absorb flavors.

Step 09: Fill Jars

  • Spoon cucumbers into clean glass jars.

Step 10: Add Extra Brine

  • Top off jars until cucumbers are covered.

Step 11: Seal Jars

  • Close tightly with clean lids.

Step 12: Refrigerate

  • Chill for at least 24 hours before serving.
