Equipment

  • Blender or Food Processor
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Small Bowl (for roasting garlic) (Optional)
  • Spoon or Spatula
  • Glass Jar or Airtight Container (for storage)

Ingredients

  • Garlic = 3–4 cloves roasted or raw
  • Greek Yogurt = 1/2 cup plain for thickness
  • Mayonnaise = 1/4 cup for creaminess
  • Lemon Juice = 01 tablespoon for fresh flavor
  • Olive Oil = 01 tablespoon for smoothness
  • Salt = 1/4 teaspoon or to taste
  • Water = 1–2 tablespoons to thin it out

Instructions

  • Step by Step Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Garlic

  • For a soft taste, roast the garlic first.
  • Wrap the cloves in foil and bake at 400°F.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes until soft and golden.
  • Let it cool, then remove the garlic skin.
  • Prefer strong flavor? Use raw garlic instead.

Step 2: Blend Main Ingredients

  • Add garlic, Greek yogurt, mayo, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Place all in a blender or food processor.
  • Blend until the mix is smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Add Oil and Thin

  • Pour in olive oil and blend for a few seconds.
  • Add water one spoonful at a time to thin.
  • Blend again until smooth and easy to pour.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  • Transfer the dressing to a clean glass jar.
  • Refrigerate for at least one hour before using.
  • This helps the flavors blend and taste even better.

Servings and Preparation Times

  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time (if roasting garlic): 15 minutes
  • Chilling Time: 60 minutes
  • Total Time: About 1 hour and 25 minutes
  • Servings: Makes about 3/4 cup (6 servings of 2 tablespoons)

Notes

  1. Use Fresh Garlic: Avoid garlic powder or jarred garlic for best flavor.
  2. Roast for a Soft Taste: Roasting gives the garlic a mellow, sweet flavor.
  3. Use Raw For Bold Flavor: Raw garlic adds a sharp and strong garlic kick.
  4. Choose Greek Yogurt: It makes the dressing thick, smooth, and rich.
  5. Add Lemon Juice: This gives a fresh, tangy lift to the sauce.
  6. Blend Until Smooth: Make sure the mix is creamy with no lumps.
  7. Chill Before Serving: Let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour.
  8. Flavor Improves Over Time: The taste gets better as the dressing rests.
  9. Taste and Adjust: Add more salt or lemon juice if needed.
  10. Use a Blender or Processor: These tools make the dressing smooth and fluffy.
